My average day consists of touring and assessing our almond and walnut orchards and vineyards in Butte and Glen counties. As well making my way to the wineries, working with the employees and coming up with new ideas and strategies to continue to grow and strengthen our businesses.
I am constantly inspired by the everyday challenges of running businesses, farms, wineries and the opportunities to problem solve.
One of my favorites is working with many other local businesses and collaborating on new products. This provides so many opportunities to not only support local products but to really support the community.
It is really incredible to see the constant changes in the fields and work place - wines evolving, growth in the fields. It's really a fascinating thing to watch the progression of crops, from starting in the spring and ending in harvest.
Yes, we have made many connections through the Farm trail that have provided us opportunities to plant small vineyards for others who are now having fun growing grapes. Some have even gone into making their own wine or even having us make wine for them.
Since we first opened our doors in 2007.
The Farm Trail provides a valuable opportunity to showcase our products and really share all that Butte County has to offer. It brings in folks who might have never known all that this area has to offer if it wasn't for the Farm Trail sending them our way. We are very grateful for our years of being members of the Farm Trail.
We remember when the trail started and brought in 200-300 people and to where we are now with 1,000 plus and it is amazing. We have also noticed more business involvement and products to showcase.
My father and grandfather, because of the strong work ethic that they have instilled in me.
The farm trail is a great event that needs to continue for years to come because of the large amount of people that it brings in to shows farms ranches and businesses that they normally might not have seen. It also provides a connection with the public to not only the business, farms and ranches but it also provides a connection to the people who run these businesses.
