First planted in 2001, Gale Vineyards’ handcrafted, award-winning wines have been a labor of love from the very beginning.
Inspired by winemaking techniques perfected over centuries in places like France, Italy, and Spain, our wines are made in small batches at our Durham winery, from only the finest, carefully selected grapes.
We pride ourselves in crafting wines that are deliciously rich and fruity, with soft tannins and a supple finish. Our offering boasts a number of unique, and artfully aged wines—from our light and refreshing Rosé di Primitivio (perfect for warm summer days) to the rich, earthy, Sangiovese, you’ll undoubtedly find a flavor to fit.
Just minutes from downtown Chico, our boutique winery and tasting room offers wine tasting, local food pairings, gifts and more. Be our guest—visit us Saturdays and Sundays, noon–5pm at 9345 Stanford Lane in Durham.
Working in the vineyard, pruning, testing grapes and soil, checking the vines, evaluating new properties for vineyard planting, checking irrigation, tasting room processes, tasting wine, consulting with our winemaker and many other functions.
