Visit our Tasting Room in downtown Chico to appreciate our live expression of Butte County’s terroir. Enjoy a selection of award-winning wines from our 100 acres of organic estate vineyards. We are one of very few wineries in the world that produces estate-bottled, certified organic wines with NO SULFITES. Scheduled private tours are available at our winery/vineyards in Forest Ranch.
A day in the life at LaRocca Vineyards is about enjoying the beauty of the vineyard, making sure the vines are cared for and tasks are getting completed. As the winery calls for tank samples, racking schedules and winery operations to make the best organic wine that we can.
The passion and inspiration that my father, Philip LaRocca has always had along with the love of wine and organic agriculture.
I have been able to travel the world sampling our wines, and I have met so many amazing winemakers and organic farmers. It's giving me the opportunity to learn the importance of quality food and how to feed my family organic and support local growers.
I enjoy the people I meet in the wine world, from store owners, distribution channels, organic farms, and my favorite, the consumers. I enjoy the art and science wines and all the complexities that come with it.
I have met so many amazing farm trail goers, new and repeaters. Most memorable is when I have a consumer that hasn't been able to enjoy wines and they find LaRocca Vineyards with no sulfites and it welcomes them back to the wine world.
Since inception. We love the concept and sharing our passion directly with the consumers.
Its such a fun weekend, we enjoy all the visitors and sharing our story and letting them taste our wines and learn about our organic vineyards.
In some ways it's the same, educating consumers about agriculture and shopping locally for their food and drinks. But it has also changed over the years from different farms, to more advanced marketing technology. LaRocca family tries to change it up with direct winery/vineyard tours in Forest Ranch, to offering only the Tasting Room as a stop, to keep it more convenient.
Yes, Philip LaRocca. Not only is he my father, but my mentor. He has taught me how to farm, how to make wine and how to enjoy life.
It is important to know where your food comes from and how it is grown. Supporting your local farmers is supporting your local community... Eat and drink local! Cheers!!!
