How can I find the digital passes I purchased?

If you didn't save your pass to your phone at the time of purchase, you can access your pass from your purchase confirmation email or from the text message that was sent to your phone when you completed your purchase.

How do I download my pass to my phone?

Once you have located your confirmation email, click on the link to download your pass. Follow the instructions to "Save Pass to your homescreen."

Is there a printed pass or anything I need to print out?

No, there is only a digital pass that will be completely saved and accessed from your phone.
There is nothing to print or redeem. All you need is a smartphone that's connected to wifi and you're good to go!

Tips for the best experience using the Pass:

  1. Get the Pass early and map out your plan to enjoy every farm and winery on the Trail in October.
  2. Check the Pass and your email periodically throughout the month of October for new, special and limited time offers.
  3. Purchase one Pass per mobile device. Bonus tip - make sure that your Bestie has a Pass too. You’ll want to make sure you have access to twice the fun.
  4. Review the hours of operation of the farm and winery that you plan on visiting before you enter the address in your GPS system. All Pass stops have different days and hours that they are open to the public.

What is the cost of the Pass?

The pass costs $40 and can be purchased at SierraOro.org, or through explorebuttecounty.com where you’ll also find lodging packages to enjoy your stay.

Is Passport Weekend happening this year?

We’ve expanded from one weekend to a month long harvest celebration! The Food and Wine pass replaces the passport weekend and allows you to taste and savor the bounty of Butte County throughout October, 2022.

When can I purchase the Pass?

The Pass is available for purchase now until October 31, 2022.

When is the Pass valid?

The Pass offers, discounts and special tastings are available October 1 through October 31, 2022.

Can I purchase a Pass as a gift?

Absolutely! When you choose the mobile device number that the Pass is assigned to, just enter the desired recipient’s name, email and phone number when you complete the purchase. If you want to keep it secret until you gift it, you can transfer the pass from your phone to another when the time is right.

How do I load the Pass on my mobile phone or tablet?

Open the link in the email or text message to open the Pass. You can add the icon of the Pass to your home screen for easy access for the entire month. On an iPhone, make sure that you are using the Safari browser to initially add the icon to your home screen. After installation, you can open and use the Pass in other browsers including Safari, Google and others.

Can I use this Pass if I don’t have a Smartphone?

While you can see the participating farms and wineries on a computer, the offers are redeemable exclusively on a mobile device, such as mobile phone or tablet.

Can I buy more than one Pass for one mobile device?

Yes, you can load more than one Pass on a mobile device. However, it is recommended that each person have their own pass on their own mobile phone.

Can I transfer a pass to a different mobile number?

Yes, at the top of the Pass, there is a transfer button. Just follow the instructions from there. Passes are only transferable if they are unused - If you have more than one pass on your phone, you need to transfer passes to your friends who are joining you before they use them.

Do I need a pass for my children?

Children 12 and under are free. People over 13 years old will need a Pass for applicable special offers. Must be 21 years old or over for alcohol tastings. Please note, some wineries do not allow minors in their tasting rooms. Please check the Pass for more details about each stop.

Are dogs allowed on the Trail?

Some Pass locations allow leashed dogs, however, many do not. Please see the Pass for more information about the stops you plan to visit.

Can I share my tastings?

It is recommended that each visitor have their own pass in order to participate in the farm and wine events. Patrons who arrive “sharing” a pass may be charged $5 at each winery they visit for a second glass/tasting flight.
